Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental โ Immediate assistance reached a fire-affected family in Purok StarApple, Barangay Camingawan, following a devastating incident on the night of March 11, 2026.
On Thursday, March 12, aid from international donors, facilitated by Miss Precious Pangan from Milan, was successfully delivered through a collaborative effort between the Hope Builders Organization Negros Island Inc. (HBONI) and Brigada News FM Kabankalan.
The fire, which broke out at around 10:00 PM, razed a residential home and left the affected family with nothing but the clothes on their backs. All household belongingsโincluding clothing, kitchenware, and other essential itemsโwere completely destroyed.
In response, the joint initiative provided immediate relief in the form of clothing, kitchen utensils, and blankets. These essential items aim to help the family begin rebuilding their daily lives after the tragedy.
HBONI emphasized that the swift delivery of aid highlights the power of unity, compassion, and collaboration. The organization noted that partnerships between international supporters and local groups play a crucial role in ensuring timely and meaningful assistance to communities in crisis.
