ISABELA, Negros Occidental — Hope Builders Organization Inc. (HBONI) was recognized as one of the key partners of the 94th Infantry Battalion (94IB), Philippine Army, during the unit’s 8th Founding Anniversary celebration held on February 18, 2026, at the 94IB Headquarters in Barangay Libas, Isabela, Negros Occidental.
The anniversary, themed “Mandirigma @8: Fortifying Unity, Sustaining Peace,” brought together soldiers, community partners, local stakeholders, and government representatives to celebrate eight years of service dedicated to promoting peace, security, and development across Negros Island.
Representing HBONI during the ceremony were Roselyn Velasco, Deputy Head for Internal Affairs; Leonel Flores, Head for Logistics; and Wilfred Miranda, Area Coordinator for Himamaylan. The organization was among several partners recognized for their continued cooperation with the military in community programs and peace-building initiatives that directly benefit local communities.
The celebration became more than a ceremonial gathering as it provided a moment for reflection on the Battalion’s journey, challenges, and achievements through the years. Speakers highlighted how collaboration between the military and civilian partners has helped strengthen trust and cooperation in communities within the Battalion’s area of responsibility.
As part of the program, the 94IB presented tokens of appreciation to its stakeholders and partners, symbolizing shared efforts and mutual support in advancing peace and development in the region.
Major General Michael G. Samson, PA, Commander of the 3rd Infantry Division, Philippine Army, served as Guest of Honor and Speaker. In his message, he praised the troops for their dedication and commitment, emphasizing that the Mandirigma have continued to demonstrate courage, resilience, and selfless service even in the face of adversity.
One of the most meaningful moments of the ceremony was the personal pinning of medals by MGen. Samson on fifteen Mandirigma troopers and two Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel, recognizing their exemplary performance, dedication to duty, and significant contributions to peace and security operations.
He also encouraged the troops to remain steadfast in their mission, reminding them that unity, discipline, and strong partnerships with communities remain vital in achieving lasting peace and progress.
