In preparation for the official launch of PAGbASA: May Pag-asa sa Pagbasa–Libacao on May 23, 2026, the project team conducted a house-to-house information and consent campaign in Barangay Libacao on April 27, 2026. The initiative aimed to personally engage parents and guardians, ensuring they are fully informed about the program’s objectives, activities, and anticipated impact on children’s literacy development.
During the community visits, team members introduced the mission of PAGbASA, which focuses on strengthening learners’ reading and comprehension skills. The team highlighted the critical role of early literacy in shaping academic achievement and lifelong learning, emphasizing that strong reading abilities open doors to greater educational opportunities and future success.
The house-to-house campaign also provided parents and guardians with the opportunity to ask questions, share their concerns, and better understand how the program will support their children’s educational journey. Through these meaningful conversations, the PAGbASA team fostered transparency, encouraged community participation, and built trust among families who will play a vital role in the project’s success.
